I’ve just finished viewing “God’s Warriors”, which was a three part, 6 hour, “CNN Presents” series hosted by Christian Anmanpor. Each part focused on the extreme elements and philosophies of Judaism, Islam and Christianity, respectively. I found it to be both eye opening and disturbing. It seems that a minority Jews, Islamists and Christians are all hardening their rhetoric and positions, and ignoring the portions of their sacred texts that speak of tolerance, the immorality of killing, and love of one’s enemies as well as one’s neighbors. All of these groups are firm in the knowledge that their way is the right way, sanctified by God, to cure the world’s ills: simply eliminate anyone who does not believe as they do. They all are using the same basic tools: selective interpretation of scripture – whether Torah, Koran, or Bible – to pick & choose which issues fit their religious/political goals, manipulation of those psychologically traumatized by fear, which includes their children, and justification of killing others for God.
It must be said that one thing that all three groups agree upon is that ‘secular’ society is unacceptable as it is today and must be eliminated. Absent are open discussion of anything other than the particular issues of focus of the particular group, compromise, creative solutions, or collaboration with others outside the group to come to a place of peace. Any information suggested that does not adhere to, or support the chosen & accepted views and values of the group is seen as heretical, whether or not it is drawn from the sacred text of the group, or from historical fact.
All three groups are heavily invested in and almost inextricably enmeshed in their cultural and religious lineages and, as would be expected, are actively perpetuating these lineages through their children. It is also important to note that all three groups restrict the liberties of women, to varying degrees.
Another interesting commonality is that, to some degree, each group, the Jews, Muslims, and the American Christians is actually fighting over land. We are all too familiar with the ancient origins of the Arab-Israeli land disputes. The American Christians claim that their land, the U.S., was founded because of their religion, therefore, the U.S. is their land, not that of the secular, and, in effect, they want to reclaim it. This argument completely ignores the fact that the “founders” of this country almost completely wiped out the actual population that was native to this land, crushing and outlawing their freedom to practice their religions. Neither do any of the three groups want to allow any of the other groups to practice their religions side by side with theirs. The elimination of those who do not believe and practice as they do is the single and only solution that is acceptable.
These outspoken groups are not majorities. A notable and important difference between these groups and their respective majority populations is that they are highly effective in communicating their message to those who have been disaffected by the secular society to some degree. One of the subjects interviewed stated that, in the U.S., the “Moderates’” problem is that they are just that: moderate, that is, they are comfortable and really don’t believe that these now-minority voices are a threat to the status quo. Those on the left or right are not comfortable. They are passionate, and are driven and committed to action by that passion. They openly admit that they will not stop until they are victorious, no matter how long that takes.
I feel that you will agree that those of us who claim to want to create and maintain balance, harmony and peace between human cultures and with the cultures of Nature as the way to Unity consciousness have a bit of work before us – and that the time grows shorter. I feel it is time to commit ourselves - all of who we are - to being fully present as much as possible (which will increase as we grow), and to opening to new levels of opportunity and reality that we are not yet even capable of imagining, so that the shift to Unity can take place.
I am currently creating a workshop for men & women called “Restoring Balance: Feminine and Masculine Energy Within and Without”. It’s pretty much complete and I’ll be discussing the marketing phase with friends later today. I will also be making a presentation with the same theme at “Sundays for Peace” at the Chopra center in NYC in September.
Do I know what I’m doing? Not really. I’ve never done anything remotely like this in California, let alone in New York City. But I am open to the opportunity of creating positive reality. Scary? Emmm, a bit. Necessary? Yes. I realize that this is part of my work; it needs to be presented to help us move towards Unity and heal the Earth. This is an unprecedented opportunity and undertaking for me. I’m diving in, even though I’m not sure what’s down there. Once I’m in, new vistas of opportunity will open and be offered to me. Being who we are as Leaders in the world sometimes means diving in, even if you cannot see the water. When you leap, remember all the while that it is your presence and commitment that actually creates the water below you.

Great Kimio! I'm so excited to hear about your news from gotham city. We miss you but glad that you are meeting all of your opportunities. I too feel a move coming for me and am feeling the call to open to leading group experiences there too.
More on topic, I have a hard time watching these types of news stories because mayhem pays, and therefore positive reality is not usually featured to balance it. Erna and I recently saw The 11th hour, some of the speakers really are operating from the positive reality new paradigm, and that was truly inspiring to see on the big screen.
XO Rebecca
